Dubbed ‘The Personal Branding Guru’ by the media and clients alike, SAG ORUME is a discerning, witty and masterful Corporate Emcee and Performance Poet, Personal Branding Consultant and Speaker; Author, Publisher and Founding Editor of SO Inspired Magazine, an online daily and print quarterly ‘entrepreneurship and lifestyle’ publication focused on the SME industry and distributed in over 23 cities in Nigeria.

SAG is also the Founder and Principal at SAG ORUME Brand Consortium, a Lagos-based Personal Branding, Content Development, Event Planning, Print Production and Social Media Management company, which has delivered close to 100 branding projects to individuals and corporates. These includes Coca Cola, Lagos Business School (LBS), This Present House (TPH), Entersekt, Nwando’s Signature, Glitz Occasions & Event Centre, Ahdookeh, Salvic Petroleum Ltd, and The Sahar Company amongst others.

As an Editor-In-Chief, Event and Red-carpet Host, SAG has securedseveral project–based, red carpet and exclusive interviews with diverse internationally acclaimed business leaders and celebrities alike, including Fela Durotoye, Alibaba – GCFR, Chidi Mokeme, AY Makun, Uche Nnaji, Jerimiah Gyang, Harrysong, Dr. Joe Oke Odumaki, Uti Nwachukwu, Mannie of Cool FM, DJ Humility and Gospel reggae music icon–Buchi to name but a few. He has appeared on Ebony Life TV (Lagos), PR TV (Jos), Liberty Radio 91.7 (Kaduna) and Wazobia FM 95.1 (Lagos), and featured on PM Newspaper, Authority Newspaper and several other blogs and websites.

SAG is a journalist and Mass Communicator by passion and education from University of Jos (UJ) and a Certified Business Development Manager from King Solomon Business School (KSBS) Lagos. He has a background in sports, acting/film making and show-business, as well as marketing, sales and fashion retailing with vast business, product management and close to 15 years of creative collaborative experience, notably on event hosting, planning and management, from research, conceptualization and graphic design to promotion, organization and production of various workshops, conferences, concerts, parties, music, comedy and fashion shows.

He has initiated, and supported a number of developmental programs and mechanisms aimed at improving the socio–economic welfare of Nigerian youths and promoting the ventures of young entrepreneurs, including  The Chariot, Kaduna Entertainment Awards, Nigeria’s First Creative Bootcamp, Shakara and The Gang, Standing Ovation with Odogwu, Xsod Brown Laugh Bustop and Makay Skills Acquisition Project. He is also the Founder,SO Inspired Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and convener of SAG ORUME 3rillogy, Nigeria’s premier forum for strategic solutions on Leadership, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship.

Prior to now, SAG had begun his branding career as a freelance event manger and promoter with Drecot Communications in Jos, Plateau State, from 1998 to 2002, where he assisted in planning, publicizing and executing a wide array of top events such as LIVE IN JOS which featured Eedris Abdulkareem as Guest Artist in 1999, and 2Face Idibia in 2000, Miss University of Jos Beauty Pageant (2 editons), Miss Polo Beauty Pageant (3 editions), and the Jos Fashion Show.

Before he was scooped up by Eddie Tox into BB4P project and team, SAG had thrown full weight into his musical career, performing rap and spoken word poetry in parties, clubs and basketball courts, and from one city to another alongside artists like 2Face Idibia, M.I, Ice Prince, Psquare, Eedris Abdulkareem and a host of many others. In 2004, when Psquare had their first major show in Jos, SAG was the opening act for the night. Few days later, he was introduced on stage by Basketmouth as the opening act for the now defunct Hip Hop group ‘Maintain’ in the NESCAFE  Old School Valentine Party, a show he got based on the recommendation of Psquare due to his outstanding performance during his opening of their private concert.

The following year, he dropped couple of single such as Ajebo, You & Me, Collo High and O’Anthem which shook the air waves in Jos and Kaduna. In 2006, SAG was awarded the Best Performing Artist on Campus by the Department of Mass Communication and Promasidor Nigeria Ltd. (Makers of Cow Bell Milk) in recognition of his outstanding performance as Director of Socials (DOS), encouraging intellectual and artistic excellence on Campus.

His passion for success and being where the action is, made him relocate to Lagos on February 28, 2007, and this transition availed him the much needed opportunity to pitch histent in Starcomms. Nigeria as aprogrammer which didn’t last long. In no time, he moved from Star Comms.to become a staff writer in Lumen Impact Communication in 2008 where he rose through the ranks to the position of Entertainment Editor for both Impact Scholars Magazine and National Impact Glitz Magazine respectively. At Lumen Impact Communications, he also planned and managed some of the company’s major events including Miss Impact Beauty Pageant which held in Imo State, as well as hosted the company’s magazine unveiling, media presentation and launch party, including its memo of fame and awards ceremony for two consecutive years in Lagos.

On Sunday 10th December 2017, working in tandem with Maria Pamella – Nwonu, CEO Nwando’s Signature and Funmi Victor Okigbo, CEO No Surprises Events, SAG was also part of the team that executed the all-star studded movie premier of The Wedding Party 2: Destination Dubai which held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event had in attendance a sea of high profile individuals, including Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo & His Wife, Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, the Convener and CEO of Ebony Life TV, MO Abudu, Atedo Peterside and celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji. Others include Alibaba, Don Jazzy, RMD, Banky Wellington, Adesuwa Etomi, AY and Patience Ozokwor to mention a few.
